Sybren Hellinga Kunstprijs

Between April 1 and July 15, 2016 you can apply to participate in the 7^th Sybren Hellinga Art Prize.

Artists can participate in the competition if they haven’t obtained their bachelor of fine arts before the 1st of June 2011 and no later than the 31st of July 2016. Autodidacts can apply as well if they started working as a professional artist within this period. Artists must live and work in the Netherlands and have not had prior participation in a full residency at Kunsthuis SYB.

From the applications, a long list will be compiled by the members of Kunsthuis SYB’s programming committee. The panel of judges – comprising Jaring Dürst Britt, Bianca Stigter and Riet Wijnen – will then select five candidates. The work of the candidates will be exhibited in Kunsthuis SYB from 8th – 30th October 2016. The winner will be announced at the end of October and will be awarded the sum of €3000.
